**Technical Writer**

Nordic Minesteel Technologies Inc. and its subsidiary companies (NMT), experts in horizontal and vertical solutions for mining, provide reliable, custom solutions and dependable service to our customers improving safety and increasing profit in their operations.

**Responsibilities**
- Create and maintain technical documents for NMT mining and maintenance equipment
- Create and maintain Operator and Maintenance manuals
- Produce and maintain any product and service related bulletins
- Incorporate vendor information as required into NMT technical documents
- Establish standards for the format and content of all technical documents
- Assist other employees in document standardization, content and proper document filing practices
- Attendance and participation in meetings as required
- Other tasks, projects and responsibilities as may be assigned

**Required Experience and Skills**
- 3+ years’ experience writing manuals and other technical documents in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Post secondary education related to technical writing is desirable
- Experience with a mining equipment manufacturer and mining nomenclature is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent word processing and document content manipulation skills
- Exceptional analytical, organizational and planning skills
- Ability to edit documents to make them clearer to the user without losing important information
- Proficient general computer skills including ability to use standard office software
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the company
- Ability and willingness to learn new software programs as required
- Ability to work accurately and independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
