**Role Summary**:
TECHNICAL
Recommend coating and raw material for spare tooling components
Able to communicate improvement ideas design changes with tool and die makers
Maintain tooling status reports and update Production Dept prior to production shift meeting

QUALITY
8D corrective action procedure is followed up and corrections are being implemented according to established timelines
Participate in APQP activities
Ensures all workers are trained on the related TS16949 Work Instructions and are followed at all times

SAFETY ENVIRONMENTAL
Observes all legislative requirements including but not limited to Section 27 of the Occupational Health Safety Act
Takes every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of workers
Observes and enforces ISO 14001 ISO 45001 and Health Safety policies
Assist in conducting risk assessments on new and or modified equipment and or processes as required
Ensures Treatment Memorandum Forms are issued for Workers who express discomfort and must follow through
Ensures that the Toolroom is kept clean orderly and safe

SUPERVISORY
Ensure the toolmakers on shift are active in prioritizing coordinating implementing and monitoring effectiveness of all initiatives generated to improve productivity throughout the shift
Managing staff and assist staff in troubleshooting and problem solving on tooling
Responsible for departmental meetings and addressing employee concerns and personnel issues according to internal and Magna Guidelines
Ensure that tooling PM activities on dies are carried out in timely manner and to the highest quality standards
Ensure that production tool drawings are up to date and maintained according to the Change Notice system
Participate in CI activities to ensure that Toolroom Key Measurement Indicators are met and that corrective actions are being implemented and maintained
Maintains control over press setup and tooling adjustment time and works on projects to reduce setup and adjustment time
Coordinates training activity for Toolroom to ensure that all personnel skills are continuously improved including TS16949 ISO 14000

GENERAL

Awareness of all relevant customer requirements pertaining to your job function

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:
Valid tooling certificate or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years management experience
Excellent understanding of GDT
Computer literate Microsoft Office some AutoCAD knowledge
Strong leadership interpersonal and problemsolving skills
Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Excellent English language communication skills both verbal and written
Knowledge of TS16949 and ISO14001 and ISO 45001
Mechanical aptitude transfer and fineblank tooling and press knowledge
Sound knowledge of design metallurgical coating and heat treat processes
