The Paralegal will provide comprehensive legal support to the General Counsel. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in high-pressure environments and are committed to delivering fast, accurate, and quality work.

**Here’s what you’ll deliver**:

- Litigation Management:

- Assist in preparing litigation matters for discovery, trial and hearings, including organizing evidence and coordinating witness testimony
- Conduct legal research and summarizing findings
- Manage discovery, including document collection, review and production
- Litigate or contribute significantly to Small Claims Court actions
- Support the General Counsel in all aspects of trial and motions practice, including attendances
- Manage litigation files and calendar
- Report on litigation for senior management
- Oversee and conduct collections and enforcement
- Draft, revise and manage documents and files, including supplier contracts, business correspondence and offers to settle
- Review, update and maintain customer-facing agreements, forms and policies
- Assist in preparing and delivering legal training to internal clients

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Relevant university degree or college diploma
- Paralegal license or post-secondary diploma in a recognized law clerk program is an asset
- Court experience or experience working on complex litigation matters is an asset
- Experience in employment law is an asset
- Integrity, tenacity, resourcefulness, adaptability and bias for action
- Proven ability to independently identify problems, develop plan of action and implement a solution
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate work across functional teams and departments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (including Docs, Sheets, Slides and Drive) and Adobe Acrobat
- Exemplary time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, intense work environment with short and inflexible deadlines

**This compensation range will be based on knowledge and experience**

**Job Type**: Full Time - Permanent

**Salary**: $64,000 - $74,000 per year
