**Key Objective**:
As a key member of the Financial Lines underwriting department in the Toronto branch, you will have the role of managing and growing a Financial Institutions book of business. As such, you will play a critical role in the growth and profitability initiatives for this specialty department.
**Major Responsibilities**:
- Perform risk analysis for Financial Institutions clients.
- Risk Assessment. Select, negotiate, and price risk coverage with a focus on renewal business.
- Identify risk exposures, special or common hazards, and appropriate controls. Ability to select risk based on exposure and risk analysis.
- Analyze claims and quantify losses.
- Develop and maintain a broad network of brokerage relationships.
- Cross-sell and retain existing accounts.
- Collaborate with field underwriters and brokers across Canada on the retention of renewal business.
- Identify, analyze and develop sources of new business opportunities.
- Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as requested.
