Aquafit Instructor

Jadaco Recreation Management is a service and equipment provider for the recreation, fitness and aquatic facilities market. Currently Jadaco provides its services to more than 100 facilities across the GTA. We are looking for a presentable, reliable **contract instructor** who is self-motivated, personable and interested in the fitness/social field.

**COMPENSATION/RATE OF PAY**:$30-$38/ 45 minute class (depending on experience)

**CLASS TYPE**:Aquafitness

**START DATE**: As soon as possible

**WORK SCHEDULE**:Mondays 11:00am - 11:45am

Wednesdays 11:00am - 11:45am

There is a chance the times could change based on instructor availability.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Greet and sign in clients
- Lead and motivate class
- Independently design fun classes at various adaptive levels
- Maintaining deck space to ensure cleanliness before and after session
- Be alert, physically fit and able bodied
- Be ready and prepared on time for your scheduled class
- Report all problems to Site staff

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- CALA certification considered an asset.
- One to three months of previous experience as an Aquafit instructor is considered an asset
- Presentable image and clothing
- Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of different cultural and racial backgrounds including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
- Be able to establish empathy and a person-centered approach to clients
- Have the ability to recognize own limitations and respond to difficult situations
- Skillfully work in a self-motivated and independent way
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, and staff
- **Have a strong dedication of wellness lifestyle**

Required Qualifications**:

- Completion of a specialized training or certificate program and or similar training and experience considered an asset. CALA - VWT, GAF, other specializations - considered assets.**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 2 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

- CALA or similar certification (required)
- First Aid / CPR Certification (required)

Work Location: In person
