**About the Opportunity**:
Please note this position requires periodic travel to facilities within Nova Scotia. A valid driver’s license and access to transportation is required.

**Specific Accountabilities include**:
**Program Develpment and Pilot Study/Clinical Trial Coordination**
- Works with the PIs to complete evidence reviews and environmental scans to identify best practices for patient care and health and wellness support
- Works with content area experts to outline best practice clinical care pathways for the management of health while on wait-list for surgery
- Attends relevant team rounds and participates in research team meetings
- Coordinates a pilot evaluation of the surgery wait-list health support program
- Coordinates and monitors study timelines

**Study Subject Care**
- Administers questionnaires and educates patients as per study protocol and procedures
- Coordinates and delivers education and wellness content (including exercise) to study participants

**Data Management**
- Compiles and summarizes study data using database and/or spreadsheets
- Maintains, archives and retrieves study data and documentation
- Creates source documents in consultation with the PI where appropriate

**Performs other related duties**
- Responds to inquiries from other departments (e.g., lab shared services

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have:

- Completion of a relevant Bachelor's Degree in a health science or related field, such as Kinesiology, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience required
- Certificate or qualification to deliver health education and exercise to individuals with medical conditions (such as registration with a health professional college or certification as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Previous research experience preferred
- Clinical research experience and asset
- Previous experience in a relevant field an asset
- Medical Terminology course considered an asset
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated research and analytical thinking skills

**About Your Application**:
Successful Applicants are required to provide a Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) to Human Resources before starting employment and assume any associated costs as a condition of employment.

**Hours of Work**:
Long Assignment, Part-Time (40 hours biweekly)
- Beginning June 30, 2023, until June 30, 2024.**Salary Information**:
$26.00- $32.51 hourly
$27,046 - $33,807annually
