Material Administrator

**Position Summary**:
To assist the Materials Department in becoming World Class through the coordination of shipping materials. This position is responsible for coordinating all shipping-related activities within Materials. This position is responsible for coordinating all shipping related activities in Manitoba.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Responsible for coordinating the shipping and processing of materials.
- Coordinating all shipping functions, including working with all intercompany departments.
- Prepare and provide regular reporting on all KPIs (daily).
- Ensure shipping area has processed timely shipments according to the schedule (scorecard).
- Coordinate all shipping-related documents, ensure information accuracy and documentation is attached to required materials.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Customs, Fed Ex/UPS, Proforma and other requirements.
- Coordination of materials going to suppliers or customers.
- Attend and participate in departmental toolbox meetings.
- Provide leadership with required weekly operational excellence updates.
- Assist in the development, communication and deployment of policies, guidelines, and tools to ensure success in all processes.
- Maintain a safe work environment; adhere to safety policies, procedures, and processes.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Education in a related field is considered a plus.
- One to three years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or shipping role is highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate, establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Oracle experience would be an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and a self-starter that is motivated to achieve tasks within set timelines.
- Ability to adapt to rapid change and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior Lean manufacturing and 5S experience is preferred.
