**SUMMARY**

This position is responsible for the supervision of the Shipping & Receiving function and overseeing inventory flow, both incoming and outgoing, in conjunction with customer-service related duties.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain inventory levels to maximize inventory turns
- Instruct and supervise all aspects of shipping and receiving
- Inside sales and customer service
- Process customer orders and address inquiries
- Process transactions according to credit procedures
- Training and development of new and current employees
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse
- Prepare all paperwork required for head office accurately and in timely manner
- Monitor and address shipment discrepancies
- Answer telephones as required
- Maintain excellent rapport with customers
- Responsible for branch inventory control and all attempts are made to reduce dollars spent
- Maintain strong communication with Branch Manager, Purchasing and Credit departments
- Ensure safety rules and procedures are complied with at all times

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS**
- At least 5 years related industry experience
- Comprehensive understanding of safe work practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take the lead with respect to implementation of company policies and procedures
- Knowledge of stock including product descriptions and product suppliers
- Solid understanding of Warehouse Supervisory role and its relation to meeting day to day business objectives
- Ability to supervise and at the same time work as a team player
- Ability to make management decisions when required
- Knowledge of JDE system an asset
