**Job Description**:
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
As a member of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist (Recruiting) reports to the HR Director-Powder Metal. The HR Generalist (Recruiting) provides support and guidance to 2 facilities on the recruitment and management of direct labour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for sourcing, screening and recruiting of direct labour
- Managing contact with staffing agencies, providing hours reports and other necessary information
- Researching and presenting new, innovative ways to recruit direct labour
- Prepare job offers and conduct reference checking
- Creating recruiting KPI’s and reporting out to management
- Prepares and maintains various reports, lists, records, and documentation (ie. monthly head counts, employee reports, agency head counts, and KPI’s)
- Creates, maintains, organizes and files relevant HR documents
- Participates in continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives
- Adheres to Company policies and procedures
- Adheres and supports Stackpole’s Safety and Environmental policies and practices
- Other HR initiatives and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND / OR EXPERIENCE:

- Qualifications:_
- Should have a four-year degree, preferably in a field of Human Resources and/or a Post Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent education/experience.
- Should have 2 to 4 years of relevant Human Resources experience
- Experience in a fast-paced and changing environment preferred
- Technical & Skill Requirements:_
- Must possess good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving and responsiveness to customer needs
- Must be computer literate and have strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
- Experience with Ceridian an asset
- Experience with Workday an asset

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Climate controlled office environment
- Some time spent in manufacturing facilities (Stratford/Ancaster) and can work from home
- Day shift
