**How does the role impact the organization?**

Under the direction of the Secure Network Services (SNS) Global Operations Manager and Regional IT Leadership, the SNS Global Operations Team Lead is responsible for enterprise alignment & integration, managing a growing team of up to 30+ network analysts (across US, Canada and UK), providing technical direction, and day-to-day operations. They will also work closely with the SNS Engineering and Architecture departments.

The Secure Network Services team’s responsibilities include all networking & infrastructure aspects for LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wireless (802.11x), Load Balancing (LTM/GTM), Remote Access (VPN), Firewall, Network Access Control, DDoS, and Network Management solutions in a regionally regulated enterprise environment that focuses on availability and security. The SNS team is also responsible for datacenter & network closet infrastructure within the co-location data centers and offices across US, Canada and UK. You will be solving complex challenges in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment, while championing the direction and evolution of a global integrated team across the enterprise.

**What will your role be responsible for?**
- Primary point of contact for operational tasks related to routing, switching, SDWAN, load balancing, firewall, network security and datacenter infrastructure.
- Assists the Operation Manager with coaching, training, and providing guidance to operation teams.
- Help manage resourcing, planning, scheduling, and prioritizing efforts to meet overall commitments.
- Technically lead with the ability to mentor other members on the team.
- Collaborate with network engineering and architect counterparts to align enterprise standards, knowledge share, integrate solutions and inculcate a global mindset.
- Partner with a broad base of business and technical teams to ensure that networks meet business and project objectives, sharing concerns with regional leads as needed.
- Forward thinking to identify upcoming trends, emerging technologies and help with evaluating new network infrastructure technologies.
- Responsible for up time, monitoring, reliability, BCP/DR, stability, and maintenance of supported systems as well as continual assessment of the quality and effectiveness of our network monitoring and alarming.
- Assist with managing network vendor relationships, contracts, budget and SLAs.
- Serves as key person in major incidents & troubleshooting network infrastructure problems, taking ownership of problems to resolution.
- Keeps network documentation up to date owing to constant changes.
- Test network performance and analyzes trends to provide statistics, metrics and reports; develop strategies for optimizing network infrastructure
- Provide timely support, analysis and resolution for SNS related problems.
- Provide critical tier 3 support, as required, on a 24 hours x 7 days / week basis. SNS team is embarking on a round-the-clock mission which the lead will help build.

**Knowledge of**
- LAN/WAN network technologies and related protocols.
- SDWAN / SASE / Firewall / VPN technologies (preferably Palo Alto, Prisma SDWAN/Access and Cisco Viptela)
- Load Balancing (LTM/GTM) - F5
- Network Access Control - Forescout/Cisco ISE
- Wireless networking technologies (802.11x).
- Familiar with automation, monitoring and reporting tools (Ansible, etc) an asset
- Understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, SASE, etc)
- Converged voice and data infrastructures.
- Quality of Service (QOS) design and configuration.
- Common network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of service management frameworks (ITIL) desirable
- Fundamentals of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, SD-WAN and VLANs, along with their implementation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cloud computing principles and experience in designing secure and scalable network solutions for cloud environments.
