**WAREHOUSE LABORER**

**Ottawa, Ontario**

**The Stebbins Engineering and Manufacturing Company** specializes in the design, manufacture, and installation of corrosion resistant linings for pressurized and atmospheric vessels. As a civil/structural specialist, we also design and build reinforced concrete tanks. The range of capabilities we have are focused in industries, such as Pulp & Paper, Mining & Metals, Chemical/Petrochemical Refineries, and FDG/CCS Scrubbers.

Our Ottawa branch, **CANADIAN STEBBINS ENGINEERING & MFG. CO. ULC**, is actively seeking a Warehouse Laborer with 2 to 3 years related work experience.

The Warehouse Laborer is generally responsible to assist the Manager for direct shipping/receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. This position contributes to the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide variety of products. The goal is to ensure that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

**Responsibilities**:

- Inventory Management:

- Maintaining inventory levels for regular stock items
- Cycle counts and year end inventory counts
- Flammable material segregation
- Maintaining stock in orderly manner
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness
- Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials
- Logistics:

- Arranging and tracking all outbound shipments
- Prepare shipping documents
- Sourcing and arranging for all field requested return shipments from jobs
- Job logistics Management:

- Ensuring accurate inventory and tool counts for all job shipments and returns
- Communicate all delays or variances in received products against the tracking list or Bill of Materials to the appropriate parties
- Equipment Management:

- Sourcing, maintaining, and disposing of all equipment for warehouse and jobs
- Determining life cycle rotation of equipment
- Maintaining certifications for all tools that require it

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in warehouse operations
- Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills
- Leadership and teambuilding capabilities
- Conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact
- Planning and resource allocation skills
- Materials management certificate or related experience
- Logistics management experience
- Equipment management experience
- Training experience
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Use and understand Work Safe regulations
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods experience
- WHMIS 2015 (GHS) experience
- Hand and power tools
- Computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Outlook and web browsers
- Report writing
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

**Knowledge**:

- Industrial tools and their operation
- Tool repair and troubleshooting

**Education and Licences**:

- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have or be able to acquire a forklift operators’ certificate
- First Aid

- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information
- Always maintain a professional appearance in manner and attire
- Work well with others, have good communication skills, and be able to make technical presentations

**Equipment Used**:

- General office admin devices such as personal computer, telephone, fax, copier
- Pickup truck
- Forklift
- Construction safety equipment, PPE, ladders, various tools
- Shrink wrapping and metal banding

**Job Demands**:

- Sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, reaching, memory, alertness, problem solving, lifting, bending, carrying, climbing, finger/hand dexterity, speaking, stress, overtime, travel, phone contact, meeting deadlines, reading, budgeting, performing presentations, working in excess of regular work week, interaction with staff, customers and vendors.

**Working Conditions**:

- Employee will normally be working in a warehouse environment along with some office work.
- The employee will be exposed to noise, dust, cold, heat, odors, fumes, and chemicals.
- Personal protective equipment must be used as required.
- Some travel may be required.

Pay: $17.50-$20.44 per hour
