Prepress Technician

**Advance Paper Box Ltd **is looking for a **part-time Pre-Press Technician **to join our team, who will be responsible for interacting with client as well as internal production team to ensure customer satisfaction and standard quality is achieved at all times.

Our customers range from food and pharmaceutical manufacturers to computer software and automotive supply companies. **Shift: 8a.m. to 4:30 p.m.**

**Shift Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Flexible)**

**Hourly rate: $20/hr**

**Location: 105 Panet Rd, Winnipeg, MB R2J 0S1**

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare electronic file for proofing and printing department.
- Receive files from clients, check to see if the cartons fold properly and ensure the color codes are correct as per specifications.
- Interacting with clients and updating files as needed to send out hard copy proofs.
- Responsible for burning plates for print jobs as per requirement
- Required to update information on ERP to liaison with printing team.
- Communicating effectively with structural design and CSR team to ensure all details are accurate before production runs.
- Adheres to quality control procedures.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**:

- Associate degree from accredited two-year college or technical school is required.
- Must have minimum of five years’ experience in graphic arts/printing industry.
- Previous experience working on Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience working on Cates machine is an asset
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision and able to communicate effective with clients.
- Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers.
- Must be proficient in using prepress operating platform.
- Must be able to learn new technology, including new/updated software and hardware.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance.
