**Job Location**: At the participants’ home with occasional meetings held at Bruyère Research Institute, Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital, and/or virtual meetings. Some interviews are currently being completed by phone from the Interviewer’s home. A private room to ensure confidentiality and access to a phone with a long-distance plan is required.

The Bruyère Research Institute (BRI) in conjunction with the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) is seeking a **Home Interviewer** to join the CLSA Ottawa team.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Working directly with the CLSA Coordinator, the incumbent will be expected to do the following tasks:

- Conduct interviews in the participant’s home (or over the phone) using the CLSA provided laptop. A minimum of 6 interviews per week is required.
- Reschedule their own interviews if cancelling within 24 hours of scheduled interview
- Provide and reviews relevant and appropriate participant notes in the software
- Report all issues to the CLSA Coordinator

- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- 3 years of experience working with the public
- Access to a car and a willingness to travel within the Ottawa region, mostly central and west region
- Excellent communication and interviewing skills
- Access to a private room and phone line with long distance plan to conduct possible phone interviews

**Additional assets**:

- Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of degrees/experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Research experience
