Curious Caterpillars is looking for an energetic RECE to join our child care team located across Toronto We are looking for Registered Early Childhood Educators to join our team **working 80 hours a week** _NEW GRADS ARE WELCOME_

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Must be willing to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Must be willing to obtain Medical Clearance
- Must be able to lift 20 kilos
- Must have 1 year of child care experience

**Our Vision** is to provide an excellent and safe learning environment for children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years. We provide a stimulating play-based program that encourages children to explore based on their interests.

**Our Mission** is to support parents and provide for a child’s emotional, social and cognitive development, preparing them for future success in school and life long relationships.

**Our Teaching Philosophy** is to focus on the whole child and use a child’s natural curiosity to guide learning. We believe that emotional and social development are inextricably linked to cognitive development and one cannot exist without the other.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Responsible for the constant supervision, safety and well being of the children

Recognizes and responds to the needs of each child by using developmentally appropriate teaching and child behaviour management techniques

Shares in the responsibility for planning, preparing and implementing stimulating, age-appropriate activities that encourage children’s creativity and learning and promote each child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development

Participates fully and consistently as a conscientious team member in caring for the children and in the overall operation of the program and centre; maintains regular and open communication with program team members and all other co-workers

Establishes and maintains regular communication with parents

Ensures the program operates at all times in compliance with all child care licensing standards

Observes and records relevant information on each child's progress
