We are hiring a Fleet Maintenance / Shop Manager for our Norwood terminal.

Contrans Tank Group is the largest tank truck carrier based in Ontario. Contrans provides a wide array of tank services to meet your every need. Our trailer fleet consists of pressure vessels, vacuum units, pneumatic, food grade, chemical, corrosives and many others. Our Norwood Tank facility is mainly a Preventative Maintenance shop with 6 mechanics.

Reporting to the Senior Shop Manager of the East for Contrans Tank Group, this position’s primary focus will be to manage the Company and Owner Operator equipment, and to ensure it is maintained to the highest maintenance standards while engaging and training our maintenance staff to be safe and efficient.

**Key Responsibilities for this Role**:

- Conduct in a positive demeanor and “Safety First” attitude during daily job functions.
- Manage staff to ensure tractors and trailers are maintained in coordination with our Maintenance policies.
- Provide 60 Day, A services, B services and special trailer services (glass).
- Participate in closing internal and external work orders with staff as needed.
- Monitor accuracy of parts billed out on work orders with mechanics and staff members
- Handle breakdown service calls during shop hours and after hours scheduling of on call with immediate team.
- Manage and participate in the parts ordering and inventory with maintenance team to ensure accuracy of what is on hand and purchase/scheduling of major parts for company equipment. (Blowers/hydro packs etc.)
- Management of equipment for third party work and Coordinate with other terminal’s Maintenance Managers.
- Work well with all of Safety and Operational teams to help coordinate an efficient and effective shop.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external clients.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Secondary Education or minimum 5 years Shop Management experience
- 310T license or experience preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook),
- Understanding of Inventory controls
- Knowledge of OEMs and repair shops
- A strong operational and personable leader with excellent people skills
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Shares knowledge and capabilities and drives superior performance
- Meets objectives and deadlines and retains accountability
- A keen business sense and focus on “adding value” to team, client and company
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Valid driver’s license as travel to client locations may be required

**COMPENSATION**:Based on experience - salary range: $68,000 to $73,000.
