Fire Sprinkler Installer

**Fire Protection Sprinkler Installer / Apprentice / Fitter**

SouthWest Fire Protection Ltd is seeking a responsible mechanically inclined individual to start as a sprinkler systems installer. We are also seeking a sprinkler fitter apprentice, and/or a journeyman.

For the individual starting out in the trade, you will have a set probationary time before transitioning into a full Red Seal Apprenticeship.

12% vacation pay.

After 3 month probation period, full benefits implemented.

Job Brief:
Fire Protection Sprinklers are part of the piping trades, the selected individuals will transition from a probationary worker, to apprentice, and then to a Red Seal Journeyperson who will be trained in the installation, service, maintenance, and inspection of Fire Sprinkler Systems.

Duties include:

- Material handling
- Cutting, fabricating, grooving, and installation of sprinkler pipe, fittings and devices
- Blue print reading
- Construction work

Required Qualifications include:

- Organized, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible to adapt to changing workloads and schedules while maintaining efficiency
- Able to lift/move heavy items
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Be able to utilize various power, cordless, and hand tools
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Must provide a current driver abstract

Job hours: 40 hrs/week

**Salary**: $25.80-$51.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
