The BC Public School Employers’ Association is looking to hire a Data Analyst to coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of information at BCPSEA to support informed decision-making within the K-12 public education system.
Working under the direction of the Manager, Information and Data, the primary responsibility of the Data Analyst position will be to oversee the quarterly collection of human resources information from school districts as part of the Employment Data and Analysis System (EDAS) and prepare reports using this information to inform decision-making by BCPSEA and other stakeholders. The Data Analyst will also support the collection, analysis, and reporting of information for other BCPSEA functional areas on an as-needed basis, including for exempt compensation, finance, and recruitment.
Education and Experience
The Data Analyst must have a college diploma or university degree in data management or a related field and possess strong technical skills, including proficiency with databases (Oracle), data analytics (PowerBI), and spreadsheet software (Excel).
Demonstrated expertise and experience in performing data analysis in a labour relations setting is preferred, as is familiarity with human resources information systems, such as Cayenta, PowerSchool, and PeopleSoft.
Experience in the K-12 public education sector and/or public sector is an asset.
Competitive Compensation and Benefits
The expected starting salary range for this position is $75,602 - $82,273. We offer a competitive benefits package, including extended health, dental and a $2,000 annual Health and Wellness allowance, as well as pension with the Municipal Pension Plan.

BCPSEA is a collegial, hybrid work environment with a combination of optional remote work and in-office work for team-building, training, and as required.
