**Upholsterer**

The Upholsterer is responsible for upholstering our company’s manufactured products in a timely manner. It is essential the upholsterer can ensure efficiency and quality consistently meets our standards for our clients. Key responsibilities, competencies and qualifications are as follows.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Be capable of reading and understanding shop drawings.
- Do trials for the sewing department to ensure covers are fitting properly.
- Apply/glue foam to furniture pieces prior to upholstery.
- Upholster furniture (i.e. Booth backs, seats, borders, panels, etc.)
- Strip old têxtiles off of furniture and re-upholster as needed for some specific projects.
- Complete tasks on time as per schedule but still ensure quality is priority.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be asked upon as time progresses.

**Tools and Equipment Used**
- Upholstery Staplers
- Other Air Tools
- Hand Tools
- Power Tools

Employee needs to meet occupational health and safety regulations and wear the appropriate safety equipment while on site or on the shop floor:

- Steel Toe Boots (REQUIRED on Shop Floor and Applicable Job Sites)
- Industrial Gloves, Eye Protection, Hard Hat (Optional - is NOT Required on Shop Floor)

**Qualifications Required**
- Upholstery experience a big asset but a willingness to learn the trade is also acceptable
- Education in upholstery, têxtiles, carpentry an asset
- Ability to sew and use a commercial sewing machine is an asset
- Construction knowledge an asset
- Ability to Read a Tape Measure
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Communicate with Colleagues, Clients and Suppliers
- Read, Write & Speak English Clearly
- Positive Attitude, Motivated, & Willing to Learn

**Salary**: From $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Saskatoon, SK S7J 3S6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Upholstery: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
