SEASONAL POSITION AVAILABLE - CAMP COUNSELOR

FOOTPRiNTS SUMMER DAY CAMP 2023

This is an exciting summer ministry sponsored by The Church of the Ascension, Anglican, The Donway Baptist Church, The Donway Covenant United Church and St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church. This opportunity is for a Christ-centred individual with lots of energy and enthusiasm, and a genuine love for kids.
MISSION STATEMENT
“To provide safe, fun-filled, challenging activities in our community for children and youth to develop physically, socially, and spiritually in a welcoming and loving Christian environment.”
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be accountable to the Camp Director
- Care for and support a group of children during their daily activities and implement those activities.
- Assist in implementation of special events
- Ensure effective public relations and problem solve as required
- Assist in the daily and weekly clean up of sites, as well as end of camp clean up

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must be willing and able to accept direction and suggestions from senior staff.
- Must have experience working with children.
- A current CPR, First Aid certificate and police check

ASSETS
- Three years experience working with children.
- Post-Secondary Student who is a Canadian resident. Preference will be given to students returning to school in September. Others will be considered if other qualifications are met.
- Faithful
- have a credible Christian witness
- Committed - have the time and energy appropriate to the responsibility
- Open - able to listen to and understand others in the process of decision making
- Respectful - to all people

REMUNERATION
Counselor salary to be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. This position is for 9 weeks. The job will require you to be available from June 26 - August 25 2023.
