**Job Title**: Set-Up Technician and Process Operator

**Objectives**:
The Set-Up Technician and Process Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of production lines and machinery. Primary objectives include, but are not limited to, operating, setting up, changing over, troubleshooting, and managing single packaging machines while performing functions such as filling, marking, labeling, packing, and wrapping containers. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role requires a range of skills and responsibilities to achieve production objectives as outlined below.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Process Operation and Setup**:

- Prepare, start, and observe machine operations to detect and resolve any malfunctions.
- Execute full changeover processes, including tooling removal and installation, equipment changes, material changes, and machine startups.
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery, such as Fillers, Case packer and Inspection machines, ensuring product quality throughout the process.
- **Troubleshooting and Minor Adjustments**:

- Perform troubleshooting as needed on filling machines, tooling, equipment, and other assigned areas. A foundational understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems is essential.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings, including guides and gauges, to maintain quality and reduce downtime.
- **Supply and Material Management**:

- Replenish packaging materials, including film, jars, lids, boxes, cartons, tape, glue, ink, or labels as needed to support continuous production.
- Feed product to conveyors or feeding devices and unload packaged products efficiently.
- **Quality Control and Inspection**:

- Inspect filled packages to verify they meet specifications.
- Sort, pack, crate, and package finished products according to established quality standards.
- Maintain detailed shift logs for production and other required data.
- **Sanitation and Maintenance**:

- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas per GMP standards, CIP procedures, company sanitation protocols, and established frequency schedules.
- Oversee and direct team to ensure production requirements are met.
- **Documentation and Compliance**:

- Complete all HACCP and SQF forms and records according to company protocols.
- Follow company health and safety practices, including the use of PPE, Lockout Procedures, and adherence to GHS standards.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or quality assurance concerns immediately to the Supervisor.
- **Physical Requirements and Attention to Detail**:

- Ability to meet production deadlines, quotas, and accuracy demands within a repetitive, unchanging environment.
- Maintain focus on production processes to ensure products meet specifications and quality parameters.
- Engage in physical activities such as walking, lifting, climbing stairs, reaching, and handling heavy objects regularly.
- **Additional Duties**:

- Assist with additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Supervisor or management.

**Qualifications**
- **Skills**:

- High attention to detail, urgency, and the ability to prioritize and self-direct tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for overseeing and supporting production team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
