**Position Overview**:
The Cultural Coordinator position will be responsible for coordinating holistic, mental wellness care that is inclusive of traditional knowledge, services, and medicines to our communities, client’s and their families. The Cultural Coordinator will provide education and services around traditional healing/doctoring, guidance and counselling, teachings, sacred circles, and ceremonies. The Cultural Coordinator position will collaborate with clients, families and staff to promote an overall balance of health and wellbeing within our First Nation communities. A sound understanding of western medicine is considered an asset.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- A Bachelor Degree in the Social Sciences, ie Indigenous Learning and or Cultural Studies or equivalent degree is required with a focus in Indigenous, and mental health studies preferred
- Two (2) years of experience in working in health related organization in a service coordination capacity with strong organizational and leadership skills, and strong knowledge of professional standards of practice (role, scope, and function) for healthcare
- Two (2) years of experience working in a First Nation community or equivalent organization
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Search with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Manager or designate in relation to service delivery requirements
- Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle

**Hours of Work**: 35 Hours per week
