**Community Engagement Lead for Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan**

**Overview**:
**Location: Hybrid/Remote and Saskatoon based**

**This project is funded by the Foundation for Black Communities, with partial support from the Government of Canada.**

**Contract Details**:

- Position Type: Part-time
- Start Date: July 2024
- End Date: March 31st, 2025
- Work Schedule: 5 days a week
- Hours per Week: Approximately 24.31 hours
- Hourly Wage: $24.31
- Total Contract Salary: $35,000

**Responsibilities**:

- **Stakeholder Relationship Building**:Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations, to foster collaboration and support for BPES initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to measure program effectiveness
- **Partnership Development**:Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations to create opportunities for Black professionals and entrepreneurs to access resources, funding, and mentorship.
- **Needs Assessment**:Work closely with the BPES board and members to identify and address the specific needs and challenges faced by Black professionals and entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan.
- **Program Development**: Develop targeted initiatives and programs that directly support economic growth and success within the Black community, leveraging insights gained from needs assessments and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide administrative support for program operations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to market and promote supervision services
- **Advocacy**: Advocate for the needs of the Black community, ensuring equal access to opportunities, resources, and support for Black professionals and entrepreneurs.
- **Networking Events**:Organize networking events to facilitate connections and collaboration among Black professionals and entrepreneurs, fostering a supportive ecosystem for business growth and development.
- **Masterclasses**: Coordinate masterclass sessions and workshops to provide valuable skills and knowledge to Black professionals and entrepreneurs, enhancing their capacity for success.
- **Online Community Management**: Oversee the BPES Facebook group, ensuring active engagement, resource sharing, and networking opportunities for members. Manage the membership directory to facilitate connections within the community.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in community engagement, partnership development, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Desire to network
- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by Black professionals and entrepreneurs.
- Proven ability to develop and implement targeted initiatives to address community needs.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, YouTube and online community management.
- Commitment to advancing economic outcomes and social equity within the Black community.
- Experience with Zoom/Zoom webinar event presentations
- Experience with graphic design using Canva considered an asset
- Experience with Eventbrite software considered an asset
- Bachelor's degree in a related field in preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to educate and motivate others
- Proficiency in project management and data collection
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Knowledge of community outreach and recruitment strategies

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: Up to $35,000.00 per year
