Iron Worker

**Job description**

**Duties**
- Fabricate structural metal products, such as frameworks or beams, according to blueprints or instructions
- Onsite erection of structures
- Use hand tools and power tools
- Responsible for unloading, shaking steel, and erecting with crane/zoom boom
- Install metal components using cranes or other lifting equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine layout and assembly procedures
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces to ensure accurate placement and fit
- Working from heights in all weather conditions
- Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications

**Qualifications**

To be successful in this role you should have:

- 2-3 years experience experience as an Ironworker or in a similar construction-related role -Able to manage the erection of buildings to a schedule
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Knowledge of rigging techniques and safe lifting practices
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Aerial work platform, fall arrest CSTS tickets are mandatory
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Physically fit, capable of long hours
- Exceptional problem solving skills

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
