**What we are looking for**

**Key responsibilities**
- **Commercial Strategy Development**: Work with senior leadership to develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to identify opportunities for business growth and revenue optimization.
- **Business Development**: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling opportunities with existing clients, as well as new client acquisitions. Collaborate with teams across the group to develop and execute effective business development strategies.
- **Commercial Relationship Management**: Build, manage and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, understanding their business needs and objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance and solutions to address client’s commercial challenges and opportunities.
- **Contract Negotiation and Management**: Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and agreements that maximize value for the company. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and mitigate risks associated with commercial contracts.
- **Financial Analysis and Reporting**:Conduct financial analysis and modelling to assess the financial impact of commercial decisions and initiatives. Prepare business plans, reports and presentations for senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience in commercial advisory, business development, or related roles, preferably in a client-facing capacity is desirable.
- Experience managing commercial advisory and/or business development in fast growth startups is preferred.
- Experience with business planning and financial modelling is desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successfully closing commercial deals and agreements is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and initiatives, from conception to implementation is an asset.

**Note: This is a full-time hybrid position based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.**

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
