We currently have a Regular Full Time opportunity for a Patient Care Manager in the Tory Trauma Program - D5 Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery Unit at our Bayview Campus. Hours of Work: Weekdays: Monday to Friday; 8 hours, As per schedule (Flexibility Required) Summary of Duties Reporting to the Director of Operations, Tory Trauma Program, this is an opportunity to manage a busy Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery unit. The patient care manager collaborates with team members to achieve operational and patient-focused care objectives within the Tory Trauma Program. The unit is a 38 bed unit which will include patients with Orthopaedic injuries and Post-Operative Neurosurgical patients. The role includes creating and maintaining a supportive environment for patients and staff, providing leadership, facilitating staff and team development, managing budgets and material resources, and facilitating quality improvement The PCM is also accountable for ensuring that care requirements are met, and that patient care issues, problems and concerns identified by patients and their families are addressed. Qualifications/Skills A Master's Degree in Clinical/Health Sciences or Management preferred. Baccalaureate Degree required. A CNO Certificate of Competence/Regulated Healthcare Professional Minimum three years acute or progressive experience in acute care clinical setting Recent relevant management experience Demonstrated commitment to excellence and patient-focused care, including shared governance and interprofessional care teams Ability to work effectively, demonstrates composure under pressure/ stressful conditions and able to meet multiple and competing deadlines Has knowledge of applicable legislation affecting human resources (i.e. Human Rights, Employment Standards, Occupational Health& Safety Act) Proficient in fostering a culture of respect and civility including equity, diversity and inclusion Demonstrates excellent change management and project management skills Demonstrates coaching and

empowering style of management Demonstrates commitment to academic excellence and innovation Superior leadership, communication, team building and decision
