Ar Credit Analyst

**Summary**

Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking an AR Credit Analyst to work Monday to Friday. This position would work out of either our Comox or Cumberland location. We offer a competitive compensation package and our benefits start after 3 months.

**The Responsibilities**
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
- Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
- Maintain receivable records by filing invoices, debits, and credits
- Contact customers frequently for payment on outstanding invoices
- Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers
- Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
- Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures
- Resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with customer accounts
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Demonstrate superior customer service when speaking with the public

**The Requirements**
- One year or more experience in an accounts receivable environment
- One year or more experience in collections
- Ability to work under conditions of pressure and adjust to urgent situations
- Excellent computer and business organization software proficiency
- A minimum of 1 year experience working with Excel required
- Experience with Microsoft Navision preferred
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail orientated with disciplined work habits
- A positive can-do attitude is essential

The Location

This position will work out of either our Comox or Cumberland location.

**Comox**

Comox is a small town located on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island. It’s easy to enjoy this little town with walks on the beach, hiking or skiing in the mountains and scenic biking throughout the valley. Close to all amenities and supporting local.

**Cumberland**

Cumberland is located in the Comox Valley on the east coast of Vancouver Island, approximately 2.5 hours from Victoria and 1.5 hours from Nanaimo. With many beaches, rivers, and lakes; Mt.
