Demo Labourer

Volcano Construction is looking for **Demo Labourers** in Dartmouth, NS

**Responsibilities**:
**Demolition & Construction Labourer**
- Demolish walls, ceilings, flooring, chimneys; dismantle boilers, chillers, mechanical equipment, etc. in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload trucks and onsite bins as needed.
- Continually monitor job site for debris and clean up/remove as needed.

**Environmental Abatement & Remediation (Training Provided)**
- Using specified materials and equipment, construct and remove hoardings required for the protection of customers, the public and property from dust, debris and hazardous materials.
- Using task-specific PPE, perform demolition of materials containing asbestos, lead and mould, ensuring that correct job procedures and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Must commit to Volcano's Health and Safety culture
- Proficient with tools or willing to learn (hand and power)
- Must be able to be clean shaven to wear respiratory protecton
- Asbestos Awareness & WHMIS 2015 Certificates
- Ability to climb, balance, kneel, reach below & overhead, move repetitively and maintain intense visual & mental concentration for short periods
- Frequent exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, hazardous materials, heat, cold, noise, inclement weather and poor lighting - all with health and safety controls in place
- Capability to lift and carry heavy items with or without assistance
- Drivers license (9 years) and clean abstract are considered an asset but not required

- Monday to Friday
