**Early Childcare Education and Learning Team Member - Full Time**

As an Early Childcare Education and Learning Team Member at Bright Beginnings, you will work with individuals and/or small groups of children, aged six months to five years, through supervision and instruction to assist in providing a positive learning environment that allows their personal, social and intellectual development. You operate in a manner consistent with the facility’s mission and policies as well as all health, safety and licensing requirements by managing the day-to-day operations of the classroom.

The successful applicant must have an interest in child development and a desire to work with children. You must have the knowledge required to understand written procedures, write routine documents and speak clearly and professionally. Additionally, you have the ability to schedule activities, gather and/or assemble data and can handle stressful situations. Your knowledge of lesson plans and children’s programming are beneficial to this role.

For this role you **MUST have** **Early Childhood Education Certification (ECE), criminal record check, First aid/ CPR and residing in the Fredericton NB area**

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Collaborating with the Executive Director to implement and maintain services and programs.
- Administering standards of behavior and discipline to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Assisting children, individually or in groups to present and/or reinforce learning concepts.
- Designing and supervising programming that offers opportunities for children to participate in a wide range of activities including physical activities, creative activities, free play, quiet time and field trips, where appropriate.
- Monitoring individual children, classroom, recreational activities, etc., to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Reporting observations and incidents (i.e., discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc.) by communicating information to the Executive Director and parents.
- Providing feedback to parents regarding their child’s growth and development.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: Up to $25.72 per hour

Expected hours: 8.25 per week
