Mechanical Assembly Technician

We are currently seeking **Mechanical Assembly Technician **for Hydraulic Cranes (Knuckle Boom) and welded assemblies to join our team. **FRF Hydraulic **is the PALFINGER Knuckle Boom Crane dealer with our installations, maintenance and service facility located in **Brantford **specializing in vehicle mounted Cranes and Hooklifts and Heavy-Duty Equipment. We are also the manufacturer of the required custom truck decks for both front and rear mounted cranes.
**Specific Job Duties and Qualifications**
- Installation of crane bodies, hooklifts, heavy duty equipment.
- Installation of weldments and custom equipment to truck chassis.
- Successfully complete crane, forklift, and overhead crane training courses.
- Move vehicles in and out of services bays to yard.
- Using forklift and or overhead crane where needed.
- Provide basic personal hand tools & toolbox.
- Ongoing enthusiasm to accept new challenges and training.
- Work as a team player with time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision diagnosing faults and malfunctions.
- Ongoing enthusiasm to accept new challenges and training.
- Promote a safe work environment and a positive attitude
- Self-motivated
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shift (6am-3pm / 9am to 6pm) 2-week rotation
- Overtime may be required
- Saturday work possible
Required Experience: (3 years Minimum)
- Mechanical assembly and fabrication in a shop environment
- Can safely operate an overhead crane
- Drilling large holes into steel or aluminum
- Has used a frame drill or magnetic drill
Consideration for, but not required:
- Welding experience
- Familiar with low voltage wiring and component installation
- DZ Driver’s License
- Forklift License
