Job Title: Dry-Cleaning Presser (Hand-Finishing Specialist for High-End Garments)

Location: Goodfellow **Cleaners** Cleaners, 665 Earl Armstrong Road, Ottawa

Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Expertly hand-finish and press high-end garments including wedding gowns, designer suits, silk blouses, and other specialty items.
- Use specialized pressing equipment and hand tools to ensure garments are wrinkle-free, crisp, and maintain their original shape.
- Inspect each garment before and after pressing to ensure they meet quality standards, addressing any issues such as stains or fabric damage.
- Handle delicate fabrics and embellishments with care, ensuring no damage occurs during the pressing process.
- Collaborate closely with the dry-cleaning team to ensure garments are cleaned, pressed, and returned to clients in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly cared for and in good working condition.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a dry-cleaning presser, with a focus on hand-finishing luxury garments.
- Strong understanding of different fabrics and how to properly press and finish each one.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods of time and handle repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and handle garments of varying weights, including wedding dresses and heavy fabrics.
- Dexterity and hand strength for detailed hand-finishing tasks.

Pay: $18.50-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
