The Morning Shipper is responsible for ensuring drivers and trucks have the required resources and tools for daily operations and addressing situations and issues as they arise.

We are looking for multiple Shippers to come on board during our busy spring season.

**Job Duties**:

- Preparing truck packages for drivers (including invoicing orders, preparing shipping reports, printing invoices) and reviewing prepared packages to ensure accuracy and completion
- Loading trucks and securing loads for deliveries
- Answering and addressing calls and concerns from drivers and reporting issues to Logistics manager accordingly
- Addressing special notes/requirements for runs with drivers
- Addressing driver communications/issues first-hand with drivers
- Ensuring drivers have required resources for their run (cell phone, gas card, GPS, etc.)
- Keeping a log of driver feedback / performance and addressing with Supervisor
- Ensuring drivers arrive on time for their shift and addressing delays/absences accordingly
- Checking trucks and ensuring the correct loads and truck numbers correspond on the drivers’ paperwork
- Ensuring all trucks have their designated key in advance of driver arrival
- Ensuring all trucks have their required resources before each run
- Inspecting trucks for any damage and reporting accordingly
- Making reactive decisions in emergency situations (e.g. truck issues)
- Completing hand-off paperwork/procedures for next shift to ensure full information is communicated clearly
- Assisting with other duties as assigned

**Qualifications / Skills**:

- Strong organization skills
- Ability to problem solve effectively
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Excellent attention-to-detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with trucks an asset
- Operations, shipping, or logistics experience an asset

Contract length: 8 weeks

**Salary**: From $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Beamsville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
