The College of Veterinarians of Ontario regulates the delivery of veterinary medicine in Ontario. All veterinarians who practise in Ontario must be licensed by the College. In serving the public interest, the College seeks to understand the risks involved in the practice of veterinary medicine and collaborates with partners to develop solutions which reduce the potential for harm to animals and people.

**Working at CVO**
This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive annual salary (salary range $60,000 - $80,000), a comprehensive benefits package, RRSP matching, and the option for participation in a telework arrangement. Our office is located in Guelph, Ontario.

**I. Job Purpose**
To act as an Associate for the College’s communications activities.

**II. Key Responsibilities**
- Assists with production and distribution of College communication materials.
- Supports content production, including but not limited to articles, graphics, infographics, podcasts, slide decks and social media posts.
- Supports the Executive Partner, Communications & Engagement in administrative tasks.
- Contributes to the work of the Communications & Engagement team
- Reviews College content with attentiveness to plain language, key messages, communications strategy, and brand guidelines.
- Compiles analytics demonstrating the performance of communications tools.
- Assists with research and project planning.
- Collaborates on the College's social media content and strategy.
- Manages and monitors social networks and identifies opportunities for College engagement.
- Cover reception in cooperation with the Associate team.

**I. Expected Qualifications**
**Education and Experience**
- Knowledge and skills normally acquired through post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or journalism; or an equivalent of education and work experience
- Familiarity with plain language, brand management, graphic design, and website management.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a comparable communications role
- Software used includes: Microsoft Office, digital publishing tools, Adobe Creative Suite: Indesign, and Photoshop, content management systems
