Showroom Decorator

You are a creative and motivated individual with a passion for interior decorating. Reporting to the Showroom Coordinator, the primary responsibility of this role will be to maximize store earning potential by decorating showroom displays. You will be responsible for actively participating in sales floor daily maintenance and inventory management.

What are the roles and responsibilities of the position?
- Provide exceptional customer service when called upon
- Decorate or change showroom displays daily with a focus on current style trends
- Unpack/tag all shipments of accessories with the assistance of the Showroom Coordinator
- Assist sales staff with customers who require interior design guidance
- Maintain an efficient and orderly storage area
- Ensure all upholstery sets and nightstands meet lighting guidelines and criteria
- Print tags for all NEW product going to the sales floor
- Conduct daily walk-through to assess showroom decorating needs
- Remove sold accessories from displays and place in designated warehouse area
- Special projects as defined by the Showroom Coordinator/Company Merchandising Manager

What kind of key skills and qualifications are we looking for?
- Previous decorating or merchandising experience in a retail setting
- Post secondary education in Interior Design/Decorating is an asset
- A drive to maximize store earnings potential in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills
- Multi-tasking and organizational aptitude with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Initiative and the ability to problem solve
- Energy and a consistently positive attitude
- Availability to work a full-time retail rotation schedule which includes daytime, evening and weekend shifts as well as peak periods such as March Anniversary and Boxing Week
