Conveniently located just 15 minutes south of downtown Montreal in the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake, the complex currently offers over 40 poker tables and a selection of over 500 Electronic Gaming Devices (slots). In addition, Playground includes an inviting and locally renowned restaurant The Rail Coal Fire Bistro and is in the midst of an exciting expansion project that will include expanding the gaming floors, a stunning hotel and additional contemporary food and beverage outlets.

**Overview of the Position**:
A Cage Supervisor works with Management to fulfil objectives and goals within the Cage Department. They must oversee the activities of the cashiers during their scheduled shift while providing direction and guidance. They safeguard company assets by ensuring the Internal Control Procedures are followed while being vigilant of irregularities and developing policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations. A Cage Supervisor must be clean and neat in appearance, maintain a professional manner and project a positive image of Playground.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervises day-to-day activities (training, planning, and assigning work).
- Responsible for assisting in the interview/hiring process and rewards/disciplines employees.
- Prepares and conducts performance appraisals.
- Approves time sheets, schedules time off, and posts shift bids.
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems (employee and customer related).
- Ensures the highest possible standards of customer service are provided.
- Responsible for systems maintenance and reviews management department policies/procedures.
- Attends and satisfactorily completes all training as assigned.
- In charge of counting and balancing all revenue related tasks.
- Operates any and all office devices (ex. computer, calculators, and money counter machines).
- Identifies and accurately deals with different denominations (gaming tokens, cash currency, checks).
- Assists with drop/count team tasks.
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Responsible for keeping all documents current and valid at all times.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
- Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
- Report illegal activity to Security and Surveillance or appropriate levels of Management.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to remain standing (and/or sitting) for the majority of shift on the Cage floor and efficiently move around the surrounding areas
- Must be able to withstand varying levels of crowds and noise levels
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow Team Members
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Flexibility with scheduling (nights, weekends, holidays, special events, and extended hours)
- Fluency in English and French (written/spoken)
- Experience in management is a strong asset
