Due to a growth in business, we require a Production Supervisor for the Night Shift.

Under the direction of the Production Superintendent, manage all production resources; particularly equipment and staff so that quality parts are produced in the required volumesafely, consistently, and on time.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion
- Supervise all Operators and support staff on the shift
- Develop a safety mindset by example, instill that in all operators, and ensure all safety guidelines are followed consistently
- Train manufacturing personnel in proper safety, quality assurance and manufacturing techniques supporting training and development of new team members
- Interpret job orders, specifications and priorities to personnel and assign duties. Review work to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies among responsible personnel, as well as departments, in accordance with determined schedules
- Complete and maintain various records regarding ordered parts and materials, production output, safety and other related elements in accordance with established company policies and procedures
- Facilitate an environment where all employee's opinions and perspectives are valued, understood, and responded to
- Actively participate in problem solving & continuous improvement methodologies:

- Develop and support a 5S/DOS mindset in all plant areas
- Lead problem-solving activities utilizing 8D and Poka-Yoke methodology
- Strive for quality improvement and cost reduction
- Set-up all equipment in the entire cell to accepted engineering standards, utilizing quick changeover methodology
- Work-in, and promote teamwork
- Schedule rotation and relief to ensure that all positions are covered
- Follow scrap/rework procedures
- Ensure that operators have accurately completed the production paperwork
- Monitor production throughout the shift for problems and production levels
- Control overtime hours by supporting throughput
- Facilitate constructive employee counseling when necessary
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel
- Understanding Dana focus on customer centricity
- “The voice of the customer” and safety as everyone’s priority

**Education and/or Experience**
- High school graduate or equivalent with knowledge of production activities and techniques
- Five years general manufacturing experience, automotive experience an asset
- Must have supervisory experience, automotive experience an asset
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment

**Requirements**:

- Thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment; mechanically inclined
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations
- Must be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently
- Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills and capable of leading and motivating people in a respectful and constructive manner
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
- Must have the ability to motivate and get along with others in a team environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
