Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is accountable for the overall performance of the project including costs, schedule, quality, project status, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
- Organize and maintain project site files and documents.
- Review and process shop drawings
- Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed work.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documents for the project including drawings, submittals, locates, etc.
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews and toolbox meetings.
- Assist with providing final document turnover and compilation of as-built data at completion of project.
- Coordinate deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Maintain project awareness to keep Project Manager and others informed about status and potential project issues.
- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in project administration and field work.
**Qualifications / Skills**:
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or College Diploma in construction-related discipline.
- Experience in civil construction; preferably earthworks & sewer and watermain.
- Ability to travel to various job sites.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Strong work ethic and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to read and interpret contract specifications, drawings, and other construction documents.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
- Passion for safety with the ability to help us ensure that everyone goes home safely.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Milton, ON L9T 1P1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Willingness to travel:
- 50% (preferred)
