**YOUR MISSION**

Reporting to the Production Shift Lead, **Packaging Team Members** are responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our product meets Righteous’ brand standards before it leaves the building.

Flexibility with schedules and tasks is expected when the unexpected occurs, some days start and finish later, and every once in awhile we might work on a weekend. This is a key role that includes a high level of repetitive tasks.

- Flexibility to work early mornings, occasional nights, evenings, weekends or overtime
- Ability to stand for entire duration of shifts (8 hours)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, many times a day
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks that involve lifting, twisting, squatting and bending. This is a role that competes with the gym for a good daily workout
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to perform basic math, reading and writing
- Previous experience working in food manufacturing, production or in a kitchen is an asset
- Food Safe Certificate, Food Service Experience, and knowledge of pallet stacking are assets but not required

**A DAY IN THE LIFE - YOUR ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Live the brand and our 8 core virtues & evangelize our delicious creations with passion in everything you do.
- Demonstrate commitment and involvement in our pursuit of making the world more awesome through participation in our Social and Environmental programs, events, initiatives and goals.
- Follow Righteous Good Manufacturing and Hygiene Practices and Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
- Do your part to ensure the team is able to run, pull, package up to 12,000 pints of gelato daily. This means you value strong teamwork, and are able to effectively participate and motivate others working within our team environment, but you’re also able to work and problem solve independently
- Maintain a strong understanding of product knowledge, ingredients and allergens (we’ll teach you)
- Complete all tasks as needed and as assigned for each shift including completion of all required documentation
- Ensure product is wrapped and labeled with proper BB (Best Before) date
- Ensure a full understanding of and operate the equipment in a safe and efficient manner, and know how to troubleshoot
- Organization of the freezer and all finished product. Yep, this means you'll be **working inside a freezer for up to half of your shift** (not all at once) We make sure you're comfortably dressed, but you're in and out of that baby all day
- Organization of all QA pints for each batch
- Promptly communicate challenges
