Warehouse Janitor

Organic Matters is a family-owned organic food company committed to providing high-quality, sustainably sourced organic products to our customers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Warehouse Janitor to join our team and help maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Position Summary:
P/T: Up to 24hr/week

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Cleaning and Sanitizing**: Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and sanitary warehouse and office environment, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.

2. **Trash Removal**: Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables properly, ensuring that all waste is separated and disposed of in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.

3. **Restroom Maintenance**: Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and report any maintenance issues for prompt resolution.

4. **Floor Care**: Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of warehouse floors by regularly sweeping, mopping, and ensuring the removal of debris.

5. **Equipment Care**: Clean and sanitize equipment and machinery as needed, ensuring they are in good working condition.

6. **Inventory Management**: Assist in the organization and maintenance of cleaning supplies and materials inventory, and request reordering as needed.

7. **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, promptly reporting any safety hazards or incidents.

8. **Assist with Special Projects**: Collaborate with the warehouse team on special cleaning projects or tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $20.80/hour.
