**OVERVIEW**

SJC is looking for a highly experienced senior content and brand leader to lead our editorial portfolio as Senior Vice President, Content across all platforms and markets. We’re looking for a visionary leader and brand evangelist who will be responsible for marketing, video and audio development, social media, brand experience, and content strategy of our editorial brands.

Our excellent Editors-in-Chief will report to you as you empower them and their teams to grow world-class, modern media brands.

You will partner with colleagues in sales, marketing, finance and other teams to develop and execute a robust content and business strategy that is aligned with editorial visions and brand values, and you will lead teams to conceptualize, execute and deliver original, engaging, creative content that lives across platforms. You should have extensive experience managing a multiple-brand portfolio, content strategy across video, audio, experiential, and understand how to develop smart consumer journeys using first-party data across all our touchpoints. This role reports to SJC Media’s President.

**_In this role you will: _**
- Grow and oversee the success of SJC Media’s brand portfolio, measured by audience engagement/growth, consumer and commercial profit, brand profitability, etc.
- Establish a shared vision across our brands and set a multi-year roadmap for our brands and content platforms to strengthen our offering to both clients and consumers. You will be the greatest evangelist for our family of media brands both internally and externally.
- Develop best-in-class marketing and brand experience strategies to further embed our brands in the lives of our consumers, creating passionate fans and long-term subscribers.
- Champion campaign lifecycles from end-to-end, working collaboratively across functional peers and encompassing marketing strategy, positioning, creative briefing, media planning, campaign execution and performance analysis.
- Ideate and conceptualize content and brand extensions that speak to a diverse and highly engaged audience and drive audience growth.
- Understand the evolving global media landscape and ensure our brands are responding appropriately to meet changing consumer/client needs.
- Collaborate with departments such as audience, sales, operations, data and product to integrate content strategies and optimize operational processes.
- Work in tandem with our editors to ensure the highest quality journalism is executed across markets and platforms that meets SJC’s standards and expectations.
- Prioritize diversity and inclusivity in all people practices including hiring, management, employee development, performance management, career path development and team morale/culture.
- Foster an environment of collaboration, resourcefulness and constant learning to overcome challenges while simultaneously meeting business objectives. Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Monitor expenses, negotiate contracts and maintain vendor relationships related to content creation.**_And a bit about yourself: _**
- 15+ years of experience in senior content or brand roles, leading growth-focused teams across innovative formats and channels of content, media experience preferred.
- A deep understanding of content development, brand marketing and experience, video production, content distribution and how content teams can leverage AI.
- Experience leading cross-functional or highly matrixed teams and a proven ability to build relationships and influence, create alignment, establish priorities among multiple stakeholders and deliver on KPIs.
- A love for storytelling, a fascination with consumer behaviour and a proven track record of identifying trends and determining the platforms on which they should run.
- Robust knowledge of funnel marketing, as well as acquisition and retention strategies through mature and emerging channels and platforms.
- A hands-on leader who can operate at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in building a culture of trust and inclusion and leading through organizational and cultural change.
