**Tasks and Responsibilities**
**This will involve**:
- Guiding tours of the vessel (Tours average 1 - 1.25 hours);
- Answering questions from visitors;
- Providing general information about the site, community and surrounding area to visitors;
- Assisting with the operations of the office, including sale of tickets and gift items, as may be required;
- General cleaning and maintenance of the site, as required (sweeping, trash removal, etc);
- Such other duties and tasks as may be required to support the daily operations of a small community museum.
- Access to reliable transportation to / from the site in Port Burwell;
- The ability to pass a detailed security clearance ;
- Good language skills, fluency in a second language would be an asset;
- The ability to work well in a team environment;
- The ability to work independently leading tours;
- The ability to ‘think on your feet’ and adapt to changing situations;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules, including work on weekends and holidays;
- The ability to understand and explain the operation and purposes of a complex cold war vessel;
- Understanding of the history of the era of the vessel, and the history of submarines in general;
- Qualification in first aid and CPR would be an asset;
- Clean, neat appearance as may be expected on a naval vessel by our visitors.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
**Salary**: From $16.75 per hour
