**Summary**

As a Pole Inspector, you will support our pole maintenance and safety programs by conducting detailed inspections of utility poles. Your work will be integral to identifying structural issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, supporting our overall maintenance strategy collaborating with team members, adhering to safety protocols, attending meetings to learn about project management and communication, and overall, contributing to the successful completion of engineering projects while gaining valuable hands-on experience and knowledge in the field of electrical engineering.

**Qualifications**
- Enrolled in an Electrical/Civil Engineering Technology program or graduate program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Prior internship experience or relevant extracurricular activities is considered an asset.

**Skills**
- Strong interest in infrastructure maintenance, fieldwork, and safety.
- A basic understanding of utility pole structures and related components is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

**Duties**
- Perform visual and physical inspections of utility poles, documenting the condition and identifying any defects or concerns.
- Collect and record data using mobile inspection software or field sheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in determining necessary maintenance or replacement recommendations based on inspection findings.
- Follow company safety guidelines and protocols during all inspection activities.
- Work collaboratively with team members and report findings to supervisors.
- Participate in training sessions and safety meetings to enhance technical knowledge and field safety practices.
- Support other field-related tasks as assigned.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities offered within the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits and systems.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Participate in the planning and execution of engineering projects, adhering to timelines and quality standards.
- Conduct research and gather data to support engineering analysis and decision-making processes.
- Document project progress, findings, and outcomes in comprehensive reports and presentations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working in field environments.
- Ensuring every team member gets home safely.
- Ensuring all Iconic designs are accurate and are delivered on time and have superior quality.
- Maintaining relationships with customers, consultants, and design approvers.

- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- CSA-Approved safety boots (Green triangle designation) are necessary for this role.
