**POLICY ANALYST**

Office of the Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism

(6-Month Contractual Position)

**DUTIES**

Reporting to the Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism (VPEDI-AR), the successful applicant will provide oversight and leadership to the planning, research, and professional work relating to policy development and review within the portfolio. Duties include working with the VPEDI-AR to identify areas for institutional wide EDI-AR related policy development and review, including developing and maintaining a policy framework for the Office of the Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism; conducting needs assessments and reviewing existing documentation and standards within the Office of the VPEDI-AR; participating in the development of policy documents including drafting policies, analyzing implications, providing advice, and coordinating the various stages of the policy framework process; researching best practices in policy development and implementation; assisting in the designing and implementing of new processes for policy development and administration; in collaboration with the Policy Office, implementing new EDI-AR policies within the portfolio; ensuring the portfolio’s policies and governance structure is in alignment and compliance with human rights and anti-discrimination standards; working closely with University stakeholders to determine the goals and objectives of policies; and performing other related duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**SALARY **$62,280 - $84,928 per annum (Management and Professional)
