Production Project Manager

**Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Receive customer POs and open job dockets.
- Ensure accurate information is received from sales and/or customer reflecting the scope of the customer’s order.
- Develop and implement detailed specifications and schedules based on project plans and customers timelines.
- Purchase film, cartons and other supplies required for each job.
- Obtain customer pre-production approval of packaged product sample.
- Work closely with the Plant and Quality Assurance Managers to ensure accuracy and accordance with internal quality assurance standards.
- Produce and maintain an inventory report for each project, recording all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Monitor projects in process; ensure job specifications are being met.
- Provide customers and sales reps on-going job status.
- Ensure all changes to the project scope are properly documented.
- Prepare shipping documentation and customs paperwork for cross border shipments.
- Arrange for trucking companies to pick-up and deliver product.
- Close out dockets and complete an inventory/reconciliation report for the customer
- File job dockets and keep samples and other materials in specified locations.

**Educational & Experience Requirements**:

- Education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
- Previous experience in the packaging industry, print production or the advertising industry an asset.
- Work experience in a project management capacity is preferred.
- Experience in customer service and inventory preferred.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with excellent math and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven customer service skills and the ability to deal effectively with problems that may arise.
- A team player with the ability to develop collaborative relationships with colleagues.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and adaptable with a “can-do” attitude.
- Proficient computer skills in Excel and MS Office.
