Liquor Store Clerk

we are looking for a Store Clerk to greet customers and direct them to shopping areas. You should enjoy working with people and be able to keep cool and composed under pressure. We expect you to react quickly to situations that require your attention and make quick decisions. You will be in charge of maintaining cleanliness of the store, which will include stocking shelves, cleaning floors and cashier areas. Ultimately, you should respond to customer inquiries and handle returns in a professional manner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Take care of customers' basic needs by checking for stock availability and processing customer transactions such as sales and returns.
- Receive and process payments from customers on behalf of the company.
- Provide basic product information to customers or refer them to the appropriate staff member.
- Display merchandise according to company standards.
- Unpack, arrange, re-stock and maintain shelves, racks, displays and vending machines.
- Ensure products are displayed according to government regulations and company standards.
- Keep inventory of stock items by recording stock levels and replenishing stocks as necessary.
- Replenish empty shelves/displays and clean work areas.
- Assemble merchandise for shipment to customers.
- Serve as a cashier and process cash/credit card/gift card payments from customers.
- Operate cash registers, computers and other store equipment to ring up sales, issue receipts and make change.
- Load shipments from store inventory into company vehicles.
- Distribute incoming shipments from company suppliers to store inventory.
- Sort new stock items into correct locations according to company.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-20 per week
