**Roles and responsibilities**

We are currently looking to fill a full time, permanent Support Services Attendant/PSW position in our Northeast region - Elliot Lake, Ontario.

**Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle of own required.**

Hourly wage starts at $21.95 for the hours directly spent with the client for front line duties.

**Duties include the following**:

- Assist consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living: light housekeeping (dusting, sweep, mop, vacuum, make bed, dishes, etc.) and laundry activities (sort, wash, dry, and fold) on a scheduled basis according to the consumer’s service agreement and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures.
- Provide Home Support service in a friendly, courteous, professional, and safe manner, which respects the consumer’s dignity and right to privacy, while ensuring consumer and staff safety.
- Manage and respond to change in a positive manner.
- Work safe according to WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) laws, regulations, MODC policies and procedures.
- The part time Home Support Worker can work up to, but less than 30 hours per week, building a schedule based on client intake completions.

**Qualifications and experience**
- High School graduate/PSW certification
- **Valid G-Class driver’s license**:

- **Reliable vehicle with $1,000,000 liability insurance to drive to and from client homes**:

- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience working with older adults, adults with age related health conditions, and/or disabilities.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by receiving all required doses of a vaccine approved by Health Canada at least 14 days prior to the start of employment
- Knowledge and abilities in housekeeping duties
- Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical Demands Self Analysis required upon hire
