**TYCROP** is looking for a **Submerged Arc Operator **to join our team in Chilliwack-Rosedale location.

**Responsibilities**:

- Fabricate chassis rails and weld using submerged arc welder
- Meets standard work requirements for all welded assemblies
- Effectively communicates potential quality and/or compliance deviations (i.e. revisions, weld symbols)
- Operate Sub arc welding machine
- Program sub arc for correct speed and voltage to meet weld size
- Meets standard work requirements for fitting and welding Chassis rails
- Contributes to mínimal rework
- Read and interpret intermediate level drawings/specifications
- Completes all quality related documentation as per work instructions
- Search and verify the latest revision to a schematic/drawing and work instruction on Share Point
- Layout patterns according to instruction
- Perform basic crane lifts
- Perform other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Red Seal Endorsed, Journeyman Certified or comparable experience
- Submerged arc welding

**Specific Skills**:

- Proficient in the following: Submerged Arc Welding machine, GMAW, GTAW, SMAW and FCAW.
- Must be able to efficiently fit and weld complex fabrications without supervision
- Must have knowledge of various metals (I.e. QT 100, Weldox 700 & 900 etc) and know how they react to welding in order to maintain spec tolerances
- Must have knowledge of all welding processes including correct filler metals, welding gas, pre-heat requirements etc.
- Ability to lift / move up to 50 lbs

Pay: $22.24-$38.22 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
