**Alexandria Moulding**, a division of US Lumber, is a customer focused manufacturer and distributor of quality mouldings and related millwork products for both Canadian and U.S. residential housing markets. **SCOPE OF POSITION**:
The Maintenance Supervisor will assist the maintenance department in planning work requirements for all plants, coordinating the scheduling of maintenance with production, leading equipment modification projects as well as lead the continuous improvement imitative.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plan, schedule and coordinate PM (Preventative Maintenance) and corrective activities.
- Develop efficient weekly schedules.
- Determine job priorities and follow up on work results.
- Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports, summarizing information, identifying trends.
- Identify, analyze and review equipment maintenance problems.
- Identify potential areas of improvement and lead the continuous improvement imitative.
- Provide historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
- Assist in the orientation and training of staff.
- Ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving some combination of lifting, climbing and balancing objects and materials of moderate weight (12-30 pounds).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Good interactive and communication skills to liaise with internal personnel and other departments.
- Daily contacts include millwrights, electricians, operators, supervisors, set-up personnel and the Manufacturing and Distribution Process Leaders.
- Good proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization of maintenance schedule and files in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit initiative, accountability, flexibility and leadership.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of collective agreement administration.
- Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

**ASSETS**:

- Strong mechanical and electrical background.

**EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION**:

- College or University degree in engineering related fields.
- Previous maintenance planning experience or knowledge of other CMMS.
- Good communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail.
- Familiar with computers and related software - MSO with emphasis on Word and Excel.
- Ability to read technical schematics.
- General knowledge of maintenance procedures, tools and shop equipment.
- Must have a focus on safety and adherence to site safety rules.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Must be willing to work shift work as required.
