**POSITION PURPOSE**

Our Technology Services Manager exists to lead the Technology Services department of our ministry with excellence, technical ability and passion to empower our staff with the best tools possible to pursue our shared vision. They will provide specialist support and implementation of new software and hardware to ensure the smooth running of IT operations. A major priority is to implement best practices and procedures to ensure the security, safety and stability of our infrastructure. The Technology Services Manager will train staff in best practices to ensure maximum value from our IT investments. Their passion for progression will bring creative solutions to bring Catch The Fire to the forefront of innovation.

**POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES**

Key accountabilities and responsibilities for this role:
**Innovation**
- Implement new technologies to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and improve workflow by:

- Researching, testing and implementing new software packages according to department requirements and considering the overall technology environment.
- Liaising with vendors or IT Service Providers as a point of contact, reducing costs and improving value of products used.
- Advising department heads of risks and benefits of new or current software packages
- Assist department heads to implement new software/hardware/procedures, ensuring our staff are empowered with the best and most appropriate tools to achieve our shared vision.
- Implement Continuous Service Improvement procedures to minimise risk, inefficiencies and operation failure.

**Leadership**
- Perform the duties of the hiring Manager for the team, including support staff and interns.
- Manage and lead direct reports with care, compassion and a desire to realize team unity and success in fulfilling our shared vision.

**Support and Optimization**
- Create and deliver engaging and informative security best practice training for staff and interns to mitigate against risks to our infrastructure and environment.
- Build trusted relationships with other departments to support best practice being followed.
- Troubleshoot and fix support issues that staff raise with the department. Be available to answer a wide range of questions effectively, with the purpose of training and improving the technical knowledge of each department.
- Consult with departments and users to assist in project planning and technical implementation.
- Advise global ministry staff to architect and maintain solutions that will scale well and serve the expansion of the movement with excellence

**Operational Excellence**
- Monitor and test existing systems to ensure continued optimal performance.
- Regularly evaluate chosen platforms to ensure maximum value for investment.
- Maintain server and network infrastructure and operation with excellence and keen technical skill.
- Manage and continuously improve an asset management system and procedure with the Staff Care Department.
- Complete onboarding and offboarding tasks related to technology services for new staff and when staff leave the organization.

**Technical Competence**
- Design and deliver procedures to ensure that Catch The Fire’s Technology environment is secure, maintained and efficiently running by:

- Installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting servers and network services in a bare metal and VMware virtualized environment.
- Installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting networking equipment, network connections, internet connections, VPN connections and wireless connectivity.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining web architecture technologies including Amazon S3 Storage systems.
- Installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting disaster recovery solutions including Veeam Backup.
- Managing and configuring company owned devices using appropriate endpoint management solutions in accordance with company guidelines.
- Installing and configuring network devices, wireless access points, switches, and test their configurations.

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**
Key educational and experiential qualifications for this role:

- A degree in Information Technologies, Computer Science or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in the IT field.
- Expe
