**ATIP Analyst**

**What you will do?**
Are you ready to work in a small but mighty team of ATIP professional? If you see yourself as a future ATIP Analyst, this may be of interest to you.

Reporting to the Director, Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP), and supported by Senior ATIP Specialists, you play a central role in fulfilling the Bank’s requirements of the ATIP legislation. You provide information, advice and analysis and liaise with Bank departments as they respond to access or privacy requests. In addition, you respond to informal requests for information, coordinate consultations as required with other government institutions and with third parties, assist in providing information on the legislation and its requirements, assist in developing awareness sessions as required, prepare relevant training material, and generally assist in activities related to the requirements of the legislation.

Additionally, you will be;
- performing analysis and review of requests to forward to the appropriate department(s) within the Bank, and planning and managing timelines to respond to requests and consultations received from other government departments
- responding to and resolving complaints lodged with the Office of the Information Commissioner and/or the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
- severing records using ATIPXpress and reviewing disclosure packages for accuracy
- launching Parliamentary Questions (PQs), coordinating departmental input to PQs, drafting responses to PQs for approval by the Director, ATIP, in advance of final sign-off
- managing files and ensuring that completed ATIP requests are closed in the case-management system and a summary of these requests is posted to the Bank’s external website
- developing and delivering training sessions
- supporting ATIP specialists with testing and maintenance of the ATIP case-management system
- coaching and mentoring junior staff

**What you need to succeed**

You have excellent attention to detail as well as excellent judgment in dealing with sensitive issues. You understand the principles of professional conduct and ethics and through excellent communication skills you provide impartial, independent advice and foster trust and credibility with clients and team members. You have superb organizational, coordination as well as planning skills that enable you to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands, and plan, organize and manage multiple initiatives.

You are a strong team player with the capacity of influencing others and can work independently with a broad range of Bank officials at all levels. You understand the benefits of collaboration by initiating and contributing to open and participative discussions and debate and promoting an environment that supports the socialization of ideas and team-based review of work.

Being adaptable, willing to learn are also key requirements for this position.

**Nice to have**
- experience working with ATIP case-management technology
- strong understanding of the Bank, its functions and organization

**Your education and experience**
The position requires a completed college or university education in a related field and a minimum of three years of related ATIP work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**What you need to know**
- Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
