**SUMMARY**:

RCYC is currently ranked as one of the top 50 Yacht Clubs in the world and we firmly believe that much of our continued success is determined by our staff. The RCYC operates year-round from two facilities: our summer home at the Island Clubhouse and our City Clubhouse in downtown Toronto at St George and Bloor.**:

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**The Rigger assists with the process of mast-stepping, un-stepping, and general activities related to rigging of sail-vessels in the Marine Services Department.**:

**SKILLS / JOB KNOWLEDGE**:
- Assist rigging team to complete rigging operations
- Operate mobile crane, including for other departments as required
- Use work-boat to bring Member’s boats to service areas as required
- Maintains up-to-date records to ensure adequate completion of tasks, and ability to bill services upon completion
- Perform standard maintenance tasks on mast-crane and marine rail-way winch
- Ensure that tools and valuable equipment are stored securely
- Set up and maintain dock bubbler systems as required
- Communicate professionally with Members and Guests
- Performs all other tasks as assigned by Management
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- ** Post-Secondary education or 2 years of equivalent work experience**:
- ** Familiarity with sailboat rigging concepts, stepping and unstopping masts and rigging**:
- ** Knowledge of how to hook up mast wiring and troubleshoot electrical issues is an asset**:
- ** Familiarity with modern adhesives and materials as well as fiberglass repairs is an asset**:
- ** Forklift experience is an asset**:
- ** Small boat operators license preferred**:
- ** Experience in marina type operations an asset**:
- ** Works productively, both alone and as part of a team**:
- ** Must be able to swim.**:
- ** Works well under pressure**:

**HOURS OF WORK**:
- ** This is a seasonal position (September to November) with the possibility of returning next season (April to November)**:
- ** Must be able to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as well as various shifts (days & evenings)**:
- ** Able to work at the Island facility - boat launch from 150 Cherry St (parking provided)**:
